History
The original Surrey-Online was conceived in 1998 and has run successfully ever since. It was developed by ourselves, Webskills UK as a vehicle to publicise and showcase our web clients. It worked extremely well and became very popular with Google and the other search engines.

More than ten years on Webskills have decided to launch a completely new version, available for all people in Surrey to use.


So why is the new Surrey-Online different?
There are lots of differences but the key difference is that the information now appearing on Surrey-Online is user-generated - in other words you, the users are in control. Also it is for everyone - literally.

Let us give you some examples.

The casual or regular user will be able to learn about news and events, special offers and discounts, what's on, and lots more. It will be a view of what's going on in Surrey.

If he or she decides to register (free of charge) they can then post information themselves. Selected information will appear in the events calendar for the relevant Surrey town for example.
