Chessington staff are having a laugh!  

Employees from Chessington World of Adventures are among the first to have tried a laughter yoga workshop in their park office. Supporting a National Lottery Scratchcards campaign to increase the amount of playtime in our daily lives, the Surrey-based employees participated in a ‘laughter yoga’ workshop as a new survey reveals just how important it is for our nation’s workers to take a break.

Jess Cleaver, assistant rides manager said: “The team really enjoyed the workshop and were smiling for the rest of the afternoon. We are busy getting ready to open our new land, Wild Asia, and so it was a great way for them to let their hair down and have a good giggle before we open at the end of March. We could hear the laughter in the rest of the park and it was definitely infectious!”

A spokesperson for National Lottery Scratchcards said: “Getting a break from the daily routine to have a moment of fun seems to be a way to keep motivation levels high. How people choose to use this ‘playtime’ may vary from surfing the internet to catching up for a gossip but it’s worth remembering with an average of four winners every second on National Lottery Scratchcards that moments of spontaneous fun can also be rewarding!”
