In 2009 we have been working with charities each month to promote their events in Surrey.
We've chosen six of these charities as nominees for
Surrey-Online.CO.UK's Charity Of The Year Award.
As criteria for selection, we looked at each charity who had used or been featured on Surrey-Online.CO.UK this year, and their own efforts in reaching out to the public using Surrey-Online.CO.UK, their direct communication with us and their use of our services to promote their cause.
We were very happy to see that charities these days are much more aware of their online presence, and this is why we decided to reward the most proactive charities this year.

But remember, it's not just about votes! We're also going to check what's being said about each nominated charity across the entire forum. Some charities may have approached us with a local event in 2009. While others may have been featured in one of our articles or simply mentioned somewhere on our website over the past year. The associated event or article can be found listed next to the nominee name.
Remember, voting closes at the end of December!
