Today the London 2012 Olympic Torch route was announced. Starting at lands end and travelling all over the UK, the last stop before entering London is in Surrey.
On day 63 (Friday 20 July 2012) of the torch relay it will go to Guildford then through London and reach it's final destination at the opening ceremony a week later.

If you live within 100 metres of the Olympic Cycle route in Surrey you should have received a newsletter from Surrey County Council giving some details about how the event will be handled and some time estimates of when races will be running;

No details of road closures have been given in this newsletter issue, however the next newsletter issue which will be distributed in late June will have more details. We will keep you up to date with any details we find out.
