Surrey trio take the 100km in 24hr challenge

Three Surrey friends are to undertake a gruelling 24 hr charity challenge over 100km.

Friends all coming into their 50th year, Lisa Adams, Chris McLaren and Paul Maung-Maung friends who attended Rydens Secondary together are putting their bodies through a punishing 100km walk in 24hrs from Putney to Henley on Thames in the Thames Path Challenge.

The challenge which follows the River Thames through Surrey is in support of Cystic Fibrosis, a condition which is suffered by many including another old school friends son.

"This is no walk in a Surrey park, the constant pounding on the joints and feet, carrying a pack, the unpredictable weather plus walking through the night means this is no forgone conclusion that we will successfully complete the challenge, the last challenge saw a 30% fallout" said Paul

The trio have taken on the mantle FIT 4-50 as they all head into their 50th year, in fact Lisa completes the challenge on her 50th Birthday. If you wish to support the trio they will be walking along the Surrey section of the Thames during the early afternoon on the 29th.
